刚才在FAYA的BLOG上看一篇文章“Laowai Hunters”，深以为好，结构简明，词汇简单，内容短小精悍，为什么我就写不出这样的文章来呢？

Today we’re talking about people who love foreigners to a point where it becomes and obsession… or as I like to call them ‘Laowai Hunters’!

The Laowai hunter is a very interesting creature, in my experience, it’s mainly girls, normally studying in English, but not always.

They are very interested in Laowai, and want to live a western lifestyle and sometimes act as if the western culture is better than their own. In my experience, you normally find them lurking in the western bars in China, in the dark corners. They normally like to go out, dance and drink. They dress quite exotically and are never afraid of coming over and speaking to you. It seems that there’s something in their mind that is saying, they want to be and they n need to be around foreign people.

Laowai hunters will begin by making their first contact by approaching you in a social environment. So I will be sitting at a bar, minding my own business, maybe with a few friends. And all of sudden, I look over my shoulder, there is this girl standing over there with a big smile on her face, holding a glass wanting to drink with me.

Laowai hunters in my experience are never quiet people, they will give you absolutely no choice whether to drink with them or not. They must be thinking “You will drink with me, you will be my friend”. And by the end of the night, they WILL have got your phone number.

It is important to stress there is a big difference between people wanting to learn English and learn about another culture and Laowai Hunters.

现在想来，但凡好的东西都是简单的，简单就是美，并不是一句空话。

又及，文中说到了“LAO WAI Hunters”，这真是个让人遗憾的词，为什么现在中国的老外，都无一例外的对自己的身价高估N倍呢？绝对由这样一群人培养出来的，以至于LAO WAI们走到哪里都鼻孔向上，用挑白菜的眼光去看周围的女性。如果你是真的出于对他们的文化而去聊天时，他们反倒露出吃惊的表情。

唉，大家都是人，何必嘛。
