On the distribution end, the publisher has partnered with NetLibrary and Amazon to make its ebook titles available on the Kindle. The publisher asserts that“recent changes in the library community, e-commerce, online security, and hand-held electronic readers have greatly increased the demand for electronic content.”

3.The conference featured two engaging keynote speakers:  Sue Gardner, Executive Director of the Wikimedia Foundation, spoke to the power of the positive in the collaboration of the volunteer editors of Wikipedia; and Dr. Michael Geist, the Canada Research Chair, Internet and E-commerce law at the University of Ottawa, gave a timely presentation on Canadian copyright law with an overview of key points in the government’s latest copyright bill, released only days earlier.
