摘要： 汽车是一种高速行驶的交通工具，道路上的运行情况瞬息万变，特别在夜间行驶，能见度和视线都非常有限，路面上的情况判断全靠车灯的光照来实现，所以车灯在汽车行驶中的作用尤为重要，车辆灯光的好坏直接关系到行车安全。为保证安全，汽车问世近百年来曾使用过各种各样的灯。但目前汽车上的灯光还有很多缺陷，文章经过多年反复的研究实验发明了车辆侧照灯，解决了汽车夜间行驶因两侧看不到而发生的交通事故，值得推广。

Abstract: Automotive lighting system is very significant in vehicles running process for it can decide traffic safety. Though various kinds of automotive lights were invented during the past 100 years, there are still many flaws about automotive lighting system. Therefore, the paper invents the side lights on cars and tries to prevent traffic accidents caused by automotive system problems based on researching lights on cars.
