1.Representatives from Disney Worldwide Outreach and ABC attended an ALA Public Awareness Committee meeting at the ALA Midwinter Meeting in San Diego to preview the PSAs and to talk with the committee about Disney's ongoing commitment to promote families reading together. ABC is a division of The Walt Disney Company.

2.NewspaperSG was officially launched today by Guest of Honour, Mr Sam Tan, Parliamentary Secretary for Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts. At the launch, past issues of Singapore's major newspapers such as The Straits Times (dating as far back to its first issue on 15 July 1845 to 2006) are made available for access at NLB's libraries. For off-site access (i.e. via the Internet outside of NLB's libraries), only past issues from 1845 to 1989 will be available. Preview issues of TODAY and Weekend TODAY were also available at launch, with issues dating from 2005 to 2008 to be fully available from April 2010.
NewspaperSG平台于今天正式启动，新闻、通讯及艺术部兼贸工部政务次长陈振泉主持了启动仪式。在启动仪式上，新加坡的一些主要报纸，如《海峡时报》（The Straits Times）从1845年7月15日创刊号到2006年之间的，都可以在NLB图书馆进行存取。而非现场存取（即通过NLB图书馆以外的互联网），只会提供1845年至1989年间的消息。启动仪式上还预告了关于《今日报》（TODAY）和《周末今日报》（Weekend TODAY）的内容上网计划，其2005年至2008年之间的全部内容将从2010年4月起开始放到网上供公众阅览。
