[摘要] IFLA’s Governing Board meets for a virtual session on Friday 21 February, its first meeting of 2025.
IFLA’s Governing Board meets for a virtual session on Friday 21 February,its first meeting of 2025.
As usual,there is a busy agenda,covering both the Board’s ongoing work to support the effective operation of the Federation,and new initiatives designed to serve the field better.
In particular,the Board will be discussing:
·Terms of Reference for our governance health check,which will run over this year,looking to understand how well the reforms of 2021 are working,and whether there is any need to update our Statutes further.
·Implementation plans for both our Code of Conduct for Volunteers,and for our World Library and Information Congress review.Both benefitted from strong input from across our community,and now we are working on putting their recommendations in place.
·Provisional financial results for 2024,ahead of the finalisation of our accounts for audit,and then presentation at our General Assembly.
·An update on the 2025 budget,including our ambitions for cooperation with SIGL.
·An update on plans for WLIC2025 in Astana,Kazakhstan,as well as on plans to call for bids to host WLIC 2026-27.
·IFLA’s operational plan for 2025,as well as work around a baseline survey that will allow us better to measure progress towards our goals.
·Plans for new Networks,Awards and Statements.
Shortly after the meeting,IFLA’s President Vicki McDonald will share an update on the meeting and wider work at IFLA.
